Hi Everyone! My name is Loveleen Kaur and currently I’m student at Sheridan College enrolling in general business course. This is my blog and I have been given an assignment to write a blog by my professor for my Business Communication class. I am very fond of knowing the use of social sites in businesses so that is why I have chosen the subject ‘Social Media for Businesses’ for my blog.
I often look around people to get information about the sources of their communication via social media at the workplace. My blog is very important because in this blog I will introduce different means of communication in business via social media and their uses. This blog of mine might help newcomers as well as business experts to get knowledge of the usage of social media in businesses.
In this today’s global and technological era, everything is online so it’s crucial for every business to know the significance of social media in their businesses. Mostly people are very up to date but I think that there are some ways that improve their skills of using social media here I found this information on newspaper article devoted to the courses related to the usage of social media in businesses and I want to share it with you:- Whether you run your own business or want to use social media as part of your job, this unmissable course will give attendees a clear understanding of the core social platforms: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Over the course of the day, Edwina Mullins from SocialB will take you through how to design a social media strategy for your brand. You will also learn how to measure the impact of all those shares, likes and retweets (Guardian News & Media Limited, 2019).
I would love to connect to general public through my blog so that people get knowledge about usage of social media in different businesses that’s why I’m blogging it publicly rather than keeping it in my personal journal.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
